Scott Anthony Santora, age 76, of Hammonton, New Jersey went home to Jesus on March 27th, 2024.
Scott was born on August 28, 1947, to Victor and Ann Santora. He graduated from Hammonton High School in 1966, where he was an avid football player. He then attended Wesley University before transferring to and graduating from Towson University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. While at Towson University, he was known for scoring the first game winning touchdown in their history in 1969.
On January 31st, 1981 he married Margaret Pauline Ender. He retired as a Senior Project Manager from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection working in Environmental Sampling, Hazardous Site Management, and the Thermal Disposal of Chemical Reagents and Munitions at Toxic Waste Superfund Sites in 2002. Outside of his work with the NJ DEP, Scott enjoyed collaborating, networking with, and developing various technologies including the vitrification of solidwaste, the safe sampling of toxic waste, the entrapment of radiation into glass, the building of a self-contained bomb detonation chamber for the New Jersey State Police Bomb Unit, and various advances in over-unity energy production. Besides his love of science, Scott also had a great love of good Italian Food, the perfect crusty roll, his family and most importantly, his Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ. Underneath his gruff, and at times confrontational demeanor, Scott wanted everyone he met to know that Jesus loved them, and they too could find forgiveness and eternal life in heaven through Christ’s finished work on the cross.
Scott is survived by his wife Margaret Ender-Santora, his two daughters Teah Santora and Karla [A. Elliot] Hirshorn, his granddaughter Remi Daniels, his sister Vickie [Jack] Springfield, and his two brothers William [Carol] Santora and James [Linda] Santora. He is preceded in death by his parents Victor and Ann Santora.
