Sean M. Glisson age 51, of Hammonton, NJ passed away unexpectedly, August 4, 2022
Sean was born in Maple Shade, NJ and graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1989. He went on to graduate with Honors from Rutgers University with a double major in History and Finance (and proudly without debt)
He is predeceased by his parents Maurice J. “Marty” and Jane (nee Hughes) Glisson.
Sean is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Nadine (nee Scurria) and his three sons Evan, Alexander, and Gabriel. He is also survived by his siblings Maurice Jerome “Jerry” Glisson (Clare), Maureen Goetz (Michael), James Glisson (Cathy), and Kevin Glisson (Karen) and by his loving in-laws Thomas and Valerie Scurria.
Sean was full of life and mastered the balance of family and work. Highly intelligent, he worked as the Vice President of Underwriting for Republic Bank. Beyond that, Sean was an amazing father and a true history “buff” at heart. He participated in re-enactments for over 25 years, enduring harsh conditions and cold temperatures - a fact that he did not let his kids forget.
Sean loved the Phillies, attending well over 200 games throughout his short life. He was also an avid fan of the Eagles and loved Villanova University. You could find Sean grilling for his family in his backyard, jamming out to Motley Crue, or amassing his daily goal of 10,000 steps. Sean loved traveling and spent the weeks before his untimely death on a twelve-day Stephan Ambrose tour following the Louis & Clark Expedition, beginning in Great Falls, Montana and ending 2,000 miles away in Astoria, Washington. Above all, Sean loved life and filled each day with lasting memories.
Family and friends are invited to his viewing Wednesday August 10, 2022 from 9:30am-12:30pm at the Marinella Funeral Home 102 N. Third St. Hammonton, NJ 08037. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00pm at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish-St. Joseph Church Third and French Street Hammonton, NJ.
