Sharon J. Caprio (nee Umosella ), age 68 of Blue Anchor, passed away Tuesday January 11, 2011 at Virtua Hospital in Berlin. Born in Vineland, she was a graduate of the first class of Edgewood High School in 1960 and a graduate of Glassboro State College. Sharon taught elementary education for 25 years in Winslow Twp. and Monroe Twp. She taught a children's prayer group called "God's Gang". Sharon also led a prayer group for 30 years. Sharon was involved in prision ministry in all of South Jersey Correctional Facilities. Sharon also composed articles for The Hammonton Gazette and Hammonton News and wrote 2 manuscripts for publication.Sharon is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Isabel Umosella. Surviving are her husband Gerard Caprio, her children Scott Caprio and his wife Mia, Doobie Morano and her husband Greg, Christopher Caprio and his wife Natalie and Thomas Caprio and his wife Nicole. Loving sister of Joseph Umosella, Janice DeNafo and Mark Umosella. Loving grandmother of Nicholas, Gianna, Vincent, Gregory, Kasey, Maddie, Mason, Christopher, Carly, Angelo, Jacob, Thomas and Olivia. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thurs. eve after 6:00pm and Fri. morning 9:00-11:30am at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N Third St., Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial Fri. 12:00pm at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish St. Joseph Church 3rd & French Sts Hammonton.Entombment Greenmount Cemetery.
